We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounting Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries specific to the manufacturing process.
• Perform cost accounting activities such as inventory valuation, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports detailing the manufacturing department’s performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production costs and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4 – 7 years of experience as an accountant in a warehouse or accounting department
• Good Knowledge of ERP, Tally and Quickbook
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across departments.
• Experience in implementing process improvements related to cost accounting.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance specific to manufacturing entities.–ADVERTISEMENT–
  
  

Salary
N150,000 – N170,000 / month.
