About the Job
- Assessing project requirements.
- Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines.
- Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers.
- Modifying and maintaining products and the processes that support them.
- Using computer-aided design/modelling software.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Undertaking research.
- Producing and implementing designs and test procedures.
- Designs systems and develops products to meet specific needs and requirements
- Tests and evaluates theories
- Executes experiments analytically
- Creates budget estimates for projects
- Modifies designs as necessary
- Prepares and records results for documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer or similar role
- Proficient in CAD, CAM, and Matlab/Labview programs
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great multitasking and time-management skills
- Attention to detail
- Creative and innovative.
