Job Description
- We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Safety Officer to oversee and enforce food safety protocols and procedures.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and industry best practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce food safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and national regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of food handling and storage areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Train employees on proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Investigate and resolve any food safety incidents or complaints.
- Monitor and analyze food safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement food safety initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes in food safety regulations and communicate relevant information to management and staff.
- Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in food safety or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, such as HACCP, FDA, and USDA.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 Monthly (Competitive salary based on experience andqualifications).
