Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Group Head
Supervises: Account Executives and Intern
Overall Purpose Of The Job
- The Account Manager has a passion for service, but with a strong analytical mindset in order to build strong lasting relationships with our most important clients while ensuring they have great operational performance.
- In addition, the position will also have to be a strong team player and willing to do things outside of the day-to-day activities, acting occasionally as a Project Manager managing the most important accounts, campaigns.
Roles& Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Provide strategic direction for existing client Accounts and grow its profitability.
- Generate at least one business initiative per quarter from existing accounts from distilled information, insights and market intelligence to factor way forward to the next level.
- Identify marketplace opportunities, prospect and engage new clients.
- Initiate strategic and winning ideas for pitch presentation.
- Lead brain storming session for your team.
Financials:
- Strict adherence to campaign budgets, monitor profitability and billings on all projects executed.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of billing and invoicing on all projects executed.
- Follow up and drive prompt payment for all executed projects.
- Maximum outstanding payments kept at 30days.
Client Management:
- Provide the utmost level of client service and liaising with key clients on a day-to-day basis.
- Maximize our services to client by providing strategic approach to how the team service all clients.
- Manage client expectations on all projects executed.
- Ensure 24-hour turnaround by the team after all meetings.
- Promoting the expansion of business with existing client.
Staff Management:
- Grow and mentor staff working directly under you.
- Enforcement of systems and processes in your team.
- Provide motivation and leadership to maximize job performance.
- Ensure effective delegation and management within the team to generate the optimum use of resources to maintain the staff/profitability ratio.
Project Management / Quality Control:
- Develop proposal/plans in response to client’s briefs.
- Develop budgets for all project with corresponding operational budget following Agency stipulated cost margin.
- Responsible for planning, and flawless execution of your projects
- Take responsibility for identifying, monitoring, evaluating and sustaining quality of output and ensure cost objectives are adhered to.
- Work collaboratively with Operations team to meet KPI’s.
- Ensure proper planning with necessary tools for all projects e.g. timelines, work plans, checklist etc.
- Ensure production meetings are held both in-house and with client.
- Ensure training of all field staff with proper briefing and dissemination of all required information e.g. salary breakdown, codes of conduct and most importantly effective communication of brand essence etc.
- Ensure contracts and MOUS are duly signed by all parties with roles and responsibilities where necessary.
Project Reports:
- Ensure debriefs are held at the end of all projects, review reports shared for learnings by all.
- All data capture must be collated and shared with client.
- Ensure case studies are submitted and shared on the server (Shared folder).
Job Specification
- Educational Qualification: A University Degree in Management or in any of the related field.
- Professional Qualification: CIM, APCON will be an added advantage.
- Experience: 3 – 5 years relevant experience in related role.

- MS office proficiency; MS Word/ PowerPoint/ Excel
