Job Title: Accountant / Data Analyst
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and oversee collections while ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Monthly Close: Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax regulations and internal controls.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external auditors during audit processes.
- Data Collection: Gather and organize financial and operational data from various sources for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Create reports and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into business performance, profitability, and efficiency.
- Business Intelligence: Collaborate with departments to understand data needs, develop metrics, and integrate data-driven solutions.
- Forecasting: Utilize statistical methods and data modeling techniques to forecast financial performance and business trends.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data by performing regular data validation and cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience:1-2years of experience in accounting or finance with a strong background in data analysis. Experience with financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Advanced knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with data mining and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms and data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
Salary
N800,000 – 1,000,000 Monthly.
