Job Description
- We currently seek an organized and detail-oriented Accounts and Operations Manager.
- The successful candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficient workflow, and supporting various departments, including sales, editorial, production and distribution.
Key Elements of the Role
- Report to the Managing Director
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, perform bank reconciliation, including bank statements and daily cash report
- Process invoices, payments, and credits for authors, printers, and suppliers
- Maintain accurate vendor records and files
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Manage customer orders, invoices, and payments
- Process timely payment of invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Record company revenue and maintain accurate records
- Assist with monthly book close and financial statement preparation
- Monitor and reconcile online sales, refunds, and inventory
- Assist with managing online store operations, including customer service
- Coordinate with editorial, production, and distribution teams to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Verifying that a company’s financial operations adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ensure timely remittance of all statutory taxes
- Preparing and submitting corporate tax reports to revenue authorities.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in an Accounting role, in a publishing firm or a related industry
- ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage
- Excellent command on MS-Office (particularly Excel )
- Knowledge of costing and financial accounting
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online payment systems
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills

Salary
N100,000 – N200,000 monthly.
