Job Title:Â Application Support Officer
Location:Â Maryland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for internal teams and external clients.
- Perform application deployment and upgrades, system patching, and integration of software solutions.
- Investigate reported issues by analyzing log files, system configurations, and other relevant data, and employ problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Manage a ticketed query system and maintain a comprehensive database of issues and resolutions.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, support procedures, deployment configurations and system updates.
- Deliver technical training sessions to internal teams.
- Collaborate with the development team to perform software testing, including functional testing and regression testing, to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of system administration.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, .NET framework, and APIs.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective issue reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities effectively.
- Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree or HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Must have completed NYSC program.
- Must not be older than 33 years as at last birthday.
