Job Title: Assistant HR Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilities
- Support the staffing process by assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Help ensure job descriptions are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist the HR Manager in overseeing performance management programs and providing guidance to HR executives to clarify job responsibilities.
- Collaborate in developing and updating compensation strategies based on market research and pay surveys.
- Assist in investigating employee issues and conflicts, providing support in resolving them effectively.
- Support payroll preparation and ensure timely pension remittances.
- Monitor the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Utilize performance management tools to deliver guidance and feedback to the HR team.
- Ensure consistent application of company HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update company organization charts and employee directories as required.
- Work closely with management to align HR goals with strategic business objectives.
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing HR systems and processes.
- Contribute to conducting performance and salary reviews by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
- Provide support and guidance to HR staff in their daily responsibilities.
- Research and analyze trends in compensation and benefits to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate on designing and implementing employee retention strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
Requirements
- HND / Bachelor’s Degree in HR or other related fields.
- Candidate must be female
- Evidence of professional training/certification in HR (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or related certifications) is strongly preferred.
- Proven working experience (5–7 years) in HR roles, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Solid knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in the BPO sector is advantageous.
- Demonstrable understanding and application of HR metrics.
- Proficiency in using HR systems and databases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Competence in building and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to adapt/respond to diverse personalities and needs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- Familiarity with common HRIS platforms (e.g., HRMS, SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
- Broad experience in administering benefit schemes.
Salary
N200,000 – N280,000 monthly.
