TAAS College, Ibadan isa Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005.

Job Description

  • We are seeking a qualified and passionate Basic Science, Physical Health Education, and Basic Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching students in the areas of basic science, physical health education, and basic technology, fostering intellectual and physical growth.
  • The teacher will plan lessons, deliver engaging and practical content, assess student performance, and work towards enhancing students’ understanding of the subject areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Basic Science, Physical Health Education (PHE), and Basic Technology to students, following the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, interactive, and practical lessons that cater to various learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor students’ academic progress through tests, assignments, and exams.
  • Create a safe and conducive learning environment that encourages active participation in both theoretical and practical lessons.
  • Incorporate technology and digital tools into the teaching process for enhanced learning.
  • Encourage students’ physical development through sports, exercises, and health education.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure holistic education for students.
  • Attend school meetings, training sessions, and participate in extracurricular activities as required.
  • Ensure that all students understand the importance of health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Promote students’ overall well-being and physical fitness.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education, Physical Health Education, Technology Education, or related fields from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of teaching experience in a similar role (experience in both primary and secondary levels is an advantage).
  • Must be tech-savvy and capable of integrating digital tools in classroom instruction.
  • Location: Must reside or be willing to relocate to Ibadan, Lagos, Ogun, or any other southwest state, with a readiness to live on the school premises.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain discipline in the classroom.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
  • Passionate about teaching and guiding students in both academic and physical development.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate a deep knowledge of the subject areas.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to learn and participate in physical and scientific activities.
