We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Manager (Facilities Management)

Location:ย Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for an experienced and driven Facilities Management Business Manager to lead and grow our facilities management operations.
  • This role combines strategic business planning, client relationship management, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery, client satisfaction, and financial performance across multiple sites or portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management & Business Development:

  • Drive growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the facilities management sector.
  • Develop pricing strategies, proposals, and pitches for prospective clients.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business expansion goals.

Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise daily operations across all managed properties, ensuring delivery of services such as maintenance, cleaning, security, landscaping, waste management, and utilities.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs and KPIs for performance monitoring and service excellence.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary contact for key clients and ensure customer satisfaction through regular reviews, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including landlords, tenants, vendors, and contractors.

Financial & Budgetary Control:

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for facilities management operations.
  • Ensure profitability through cost control, procurement optimization, and effective contract management.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team of site managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure all sites are audit-ready.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or business development role.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple client accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with budget control and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional certification (e.g., IFMA, BIFM, PMP, or NEBOSH) is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with CAFM software and property maintenance systems
  • Experience with contract negotiation and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
