Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology and product development efforts.
- The CTO will be responsible for driving technological innovation, overseeing IT infrastructure, and aligning technology initiatives with the overall business strategy to support sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and growth plans.
- Build and lead a high-performing technology team; promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Identify emerging technology trends and determine how they can be leveraged to achieve business success.
- Oversee all aspects of product design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Ensure that the company’s technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable to support operations and expansion.
- Work closely with other executive leaders to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity strategies to protect company assets, data, and customer information.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology partners, vendors, and service providers.
- Develop and manage the technology department’s budget and make cost-effective technology investments.
- Ensure all systems and technologies comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar.
- Strong technical knowledge in software development, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies (AI, cloud computing, blockchain, etc.).
- Experience scaling technology for growth in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead large technical teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments related to technology and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
Salary
N300,000 – N650,000 / month.
