Job Title: Commercial & BD Executive

Job Summary
- The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of expertise in business growth and expansion within the maritime industry.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional networking and negotiation skills to drive revenue growth by managing and executing the company’s commercial strategy, and be capable of identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in negotiating new projects and contract terms with new clients.
- Support the commercial department with policies and strategies
- Research new markets and develop new business strategies.
- Identify opportunities and make presentations to existing and prospective clients.
- Assist in overseeing branding and marketing endeavours for business goals.
- Coordinate and liaise with inter-department/inter-company requirements as assigned.
- Provide administrative support for the bid/tender process.
- Recommend tactics, approaches, or new product changes based on market data.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc projects/duties as per assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- A University Degree / HND preferably in Maritime Studies.
- Other fields like Business Administration, Marketing, Maritime Studies, International Business with significant Maritime Experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Commercial / business development, marketing and sales in the maritime industry is preferred; an understanding of maritime logistics and shipping operations.
- Knowledge of the maritime industry including shipping regulations, vessel operations, port operations, freight rates and market trends
- Proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and expand the market presence.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), negotiation, proposal writing/designs and knowledge of strategic business development.
- Strong networking skills to establish and maintain relationships across various levels.
- Excellent computer skills (CRM, MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, PowerBI etc.).
