Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) is a non-governmental organization that promotes the demonstration improved pre-i post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers. SAA assists host Country agricultural development programs through its country program. The project is implemented through five interrelated components: Regenerative Agriculture, Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture for improved Postharvest and Agro-processing Technologies, promote Market-Oriented Agriculture in support of pluralistic extension delivery and market access, to develop agricultural extension advisory services, and establishing a relevant, efficient and effective Monitoring and Evaluation, and Communication system.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Driver – N7
Location: Abuja
Job Description
- The driver is responsible for undertaking driving assignments and providing these services safely and efficiently and reports to the Administrative Officer in Abuja.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake driving assignments and provide these services safely and efficiently.
- Responsible for the organization & passengers’ property while driving.
- Maintain & clean assigned vehicles with care and report any damage to the Transport Officer / Administrative Officer.
- Report the mileage to the Admin. Officer periodically.
- Responsible for assigned vehicle and its tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Record transport logbook for assigned vehicles every day.
- Conduct a regular, thorough inspection of the vehicle before use.
- Carry out minor vehicle repairs like tyre and bulb changes.
- In case facing or being involved in a traffic accident, report immediately to supervisors and police.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Knowledge of Abuja and Lagos Road networks as well as the Republic of Benin road network.
Education Background and Experience
- WAEC / GCE or OND
- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
- Third-grade license or any equivalent license that can allow one to drive station wagon/medium-sized trucks
- English Proficiency: WAC, Intermediate
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere t government and organization rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
Compensation
SAA offers a competitive benefits package. However, salary is commensurate with experience.
