Job Title: Electrical Trainee

Job Description
- Assist shore Base ETO and Electrician during port calls on solving electrical issues
- Assist shore Electrician in updating the ETO containers stock/Inventory.
- Assists shore base where needed with documentation for items going in and out of the ETO container.
- Update MARAD repair jobs in close cooperation with shore ETO and Electrician.
- Prepare RQ’s in MARAD in close cooperation with shore ETO and Electrician.
- Assists TSI where required on vessel repair/ Maintenance
- Help with routine inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Conduct vessel rounds and report any issue related to electrical systems or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor or senior technician and Jointly assist in rectifying the problem(s)
- Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and guidelines while working with electrical equipment. Ensure the workplace is safe for other workers and personnel
Qualifications
- Completed or in-progress Electrical Diploma or equivalent technical certification.
- Electrical Trainee will assist senior electrical engineers and technicians in performing various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems and equipment onboard the vessels.
- The role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while learning about the industry’s best practices, safety standards, and technical skill
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools and instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to work in different environments, including construction sites and industrial areas.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
