The MEAL Enumerator will support data collection activities under the guidance of the MEAL Officer, contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection:
- Conduct surveys, interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and observations using provided tools.
- Ensure accurate recording of data on digital or paper-based systems.
- Verify collected data for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Community Engagement:
- Work respectfully and professionally with community members during data collection.
- Address participants\’ concerns and questions about the data collection process.
- Data Management:
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all collected data.
- Submit completed tools and devices to the MEAL Officer in a timely manner.
- Reporting:
- Report challenges encountered during fieldwork to the MEAL Officer.
- Provide detailed feedback on field observations and data quality issues.
- Ethical Conduct:
- Adhere to PRIDE’s ethical guidelines and data collection protocols.
- Maintain sensitivity to cultural, social, and gender dynamics in the communities.
Deliverables
- High-quality and accurate data submissions in line with project requirements.
- Detailed fieldwork reports highlighting successes, challenges, and observations.
- Participation in team debriefings and review sessions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Minimum of a diploma or degree in social sciences, statistics, or related fields.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a data collector or enumerator in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Fluency in Hausa and English language is Mandatory, shuwa and Kanuri is added advantage.
- Basic understanding of MEAL principles and tools.

Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to project sites, often in remote areas.
