Peace Restoration and Integral Global Development Initiative (PRIDE) is a Non-Profit National Organization, born out of passion for the well-being of the vulnerable women and children in the Nigerian society, especially in the NE/NW Nigeria.

 

Experience: 
Location: Borno

The MEAL Enumerator will support data collection activities under the guidance of the MEAL Officer, contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection:
    • Conduct surveys, interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and observations using provided tools.
    • Ensure accurate recording of data on digital or paper-based systems.
    • Verify collected data for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Work respectfully and professionally with community members during data collection.
    • Address participants\’ concerns and questions about the data collection process.
  • Data Management:
    • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all collected data.
    • Submit completed tools and devices to the MEAL Officer in a timely manner.
  • Reporting:
    • Report challenges encountered during fieldwork to the MEAL Officer.
    • Provide detailed feedback on field observations and data quality issues.
  • Ethical Conduct:
    • Adhere to PRIDE’s ethical guidelines and data collection protocols.
    • Maintain sensitivity to cultural, social, and gender dynamics in the communities.

Deliverables

  • High-quality and accurate data submissions in line with project requirements.
  • Detailed fieldwork reports highlighting successes, challenges, and observations.
  • Participation in team debriefings and review sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Minimum of a diploma or degree in social sciences, statistics, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a data collector or enumerator in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Fluency in Hausa and English language is Mandatory, shuwa and Kanuri is added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of MEAL principles and tools.

Performance Criteria

  • Adherence to timelines and guidelines for data collection.
  • Accuracy and reliability of collected data.
  • Professionalism and cultural sensitivity in field interactions.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel to project sites, often in remote areas.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends if required.
