Job Title: Facility Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Facility Officer is responsible for creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean. Also responsible for installing and maintaining adequate communications infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all installations (plumbing, HVAC, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
- Manage the organization’s facilities and equipment
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
- Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
- Supervise all facilities staff, external contractors and ensure they meet/exceed work expectations
- Manage staff accommodation
- Manage organization’s fleet
- Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
- Ensure facility insurance coverage is up to date for all assets
- Plan for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements
- Perform facility analysis and forecasting
- Develop worksheet for predicting maintenance
- Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance reports
- Work with the Operations and Facility Manager to ensure compliance of all statutory requirements by the Federal Government
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
- B.Sc in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Facility Officer
- Professional, HSE certification is an advantage
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities
- Knowledge of risk management
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Familiar with cost comparative analysis
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for security and public health and safety
- Good reporting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and admirable leadership skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking skills
- Strong negotiation skill
- Good problem-solving skills
- High accuracy and precise attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to carry out basic First Aid treatment.
