Job Description
- The Factory Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment within the production plant.
- The role ensures that all electrical systems operate efficiently, effectively, and safely.
- The Factory Electrical Engineer will work closely with the production team to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development:
- Design and develop electrical systems and machinery for the manufacturing process.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for electrical components and systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to integrate electrical designs with overall plant operations.
- Optimize the performance and efficiency of electrical systems to support the plastic manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to electrical systems and their integration into the manufacturing processes.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems and machinery in the production plant, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including ACB/VCB, motors, and other industrial equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues with production machinery, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical components in production machinery.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all electrical systems and machinery meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical equipment.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address any electrical issues affecting product quality.
Health & Safety:
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations specific to electrical systems in plastic production.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a
- preference for experience in the plastics industry.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of electrical systems, including ACB/VCB operation and maintenance, as well as industrial equipment and hand tools.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and machinery used in plastic production (extrusion, injection molding, blow molding).
- Knowledge of electric motors and their integration into plastic manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in plastic production machinery.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills specific to electrical systems in plastic production.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective electricalsolutions.
- Proficiency in process optimization for electrical aspects of production.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
