Job Description
- A graphic designer uses visual concepts to communicate ideas and information.
- They use design software to create compelling visuals, such as logos, advertisements, and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Sketching: Create rough drafts and explore different design approaches
- Designing: Create layouts, select colors, fonts, and images
- Using design software: Use design software to bring ideas to life
- Meeting deadlines: Meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
- Providing and receiving criticism: Be able to provide and receive criticism
- Brainstorming: Generate creative ideas and conceptualize design solutions
Skills and Qualifications
Strong aesthetic skills:
- Have a keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to combine colors, fonts, and layouts.
Attention to detail:
- Have strong aesthetic skills and the ability to pay attention to visual details.
Time management skills:
- Be able to meet deadlines and have time management skills.
Typography:
- Know how to choose appropriate fonts for their work, including the size, shape, and placement of text.
Work settings:
- Graphic designers can work for advertising and graphic design firms, and on a variety of projects, including websites, posters, brochures, magazines, and more.
Salary
N70,000 – N80,000 monthly.
