Job Title: Grill Chef

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Grill Operations: Operate and manage the grill station, ensuring all food items are grilled to the correct temperature and texture.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for grilling, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Cooking: Grill a variety of meats (steaks, chicken, seafood, etc.) and vegetables according to customer preferences and restaurant standards.
  • Presentation: Plate and garnish grilled dishes attractively, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s presentation standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of grilling supplies, including meats, marinades, and grilling accessories. Order supplies as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station. Regularly clean the grill and other equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service. Communicate effectively with servers and management.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality and safety standards. Perform regular taste tests and quality checks.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers as needed, addressing any special requests or dietary concerns related to grilled items.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Grill Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent grilling techniques, knife skills, and knowledge of various grilling equipment and methods.
  • Understanding of food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-temperature environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standards.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / Month.
