Job Summary
- We are seeking an IT Project Manager who can effectively lead and deliver complex IT projects, ensuring they meet both our business objectives and client expectations.
About the Role
- As an IT Project Manager at RITA Africa, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of various IT projects, including software development, web development, cybersecurity, and IT services projects.
- You will manage project teams, ensure alignment with business goals, and guarantee successful project delivery within the agreed timeline, scope, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring they align with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
- Ensure projects adhere to best practices, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Utilize project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar software to track and report project performance.
- Manage client communications, handle feedback, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within software development, web development, or IT services.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in managing complex IT projects with a strong track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure projects is a plus.
