Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Officer

Job Objective / Summary
- The IT Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the bank’s IT systems and applications.
- This role involves testing software, identifying defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and improving the overall quality of IT solutions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) frameworks, policies, and best practices for IT systems.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing for software applications and banking platforms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, regulatory, and banking industry standards.
- Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business teams to enhance system reliability.
- Automate testing processes using modern tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor IT system performance and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
- Provide training on quality assurance best practices to IT teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT quality assurance, software testing, or system auditing, preferably within the banking sector.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS) is an advantage.
- Certifications in software quality assurance and testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, ITIL) are preferred.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
- Experience with automation testing and performance monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in banking IT systems.
