Job Summary
- The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has several institutions that provide training and research in defense and security, including the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC).
Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)
- Located in Ghana, the KAIPTC is a regional center of excellence for training and research in peacebuilding, conflict management, and prevention
- Established in 1998, the KAIPTC offers courses in peace support operations for military, police, and civilian personnel
ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff
- The ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff meets to discuss security cooperation, peace operations, and the ECOWAS Standby Force
- The Chiefs of Defence Staff also visit other institutions to network and form partnerships
ECOWAS Youth & Sports Development Centre (EYSDC)
- A specialized agency of ECOWAS that develops and promotes youth and sports activities in West Africa
Responsibilities
- Research -Conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
- Curriculum development
- Supporting students
- Student engagement
- Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
- Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
- Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences
- Candidates should possess a minimum of an HND / OND / NCE qualification
- Candidates must be off Hausa Language Speaking and Hause-Nigeria Territory
- Experience Level: Mid-level
- Experience Length: 3 years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
