We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Network Surveillance Specialist

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main purpose of the Job

  • The primary role of Network Surveillance Specialist (NSS) is to monitor and manage sites in a Network from a centralized location. The NSS watch the Network, and ensure that all incidents are promptly captured, escalated, and resolved within the shortest time possible on a 24/7 basis.
  • Network Surveillance Engineer detects, analyses, and escalates events/incidents in NECWA by consistently monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • The skills required for a Network Surveillance Specialist includes network administration and management, knowledge of Telemetry system, interpersonal relationship, and report writing. The deliverables are always time-bound, hence requires regular multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive alarm management to prevent eventuality on the network, i.e., network outage.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate network incidents using standard procedures and tools.
  • Provide regular updates of ongoing events/incidents on the Network to all stakeholders.
  • Document all Network events/incidents on Ticketing tools according to standard process and procedure, including Times of occurrence & closure, RCA and other relevant information that can be used for Network analysis and improvement.
  • Provide Network and its events/incidents’ status for all stakeholders at regular intervals.
  • Support Service Desk in site assess management.
  • Play vital role in change management procedure by sharing and confirming Network status before and after any/every change activity.

Experience & Qualifications

  • B.Eng / BSc / HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Civil, Agric, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Pysics Electronics, and other related field
  • 1 – 2 years of hands-on experience in telecoms, tele-traffic environment, and customer relations.

Knowledge / Competencies:

  • Have relevant knowledge of Power supply equipment, i.e., ATS, Generator, Rectifier, etc.
  • Knowledge of alternative Energy/source of power will be an added advantage.
  • Must know how to use telemetry system to troubleshoot and fault.
  • Strong analytical thinking and creatively solve problem.
  • The individual needs to be flexible, able to work under pressure and to deadlines, well organised and professional with a real proactive attitude.
  • Candidate must possess good communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in time conscious environment.
  • Have relevant IT skills in MS Office applications.
  • Should be able to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and correctness.
  • Show willingness and ability to learn, improve and adapt if required.

Salary
N1,000,0000 – N1,600,000 annually.
