Job Description
- The Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of Agbeyewa Farms.
- This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- The Operations Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth operational flow, optimize resource utilization, and contribute to the overall success of the farm.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and processing.
- Monitor and track operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with farm supervisors and field officers to ensure efficient resource allocation and task execution.
- Support the implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
- Assist in the management of farm inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Coordinate logistics for the transport of harvested cassava and other farm products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely procurement of supplies.
- Collect and analyze operational data, preparing reports on key performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including production data, resource usage, and maintenance logs.
- Utilize data to identify trends and inform operational decisions.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the documentation of operational procedures and compliance records.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in farm operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices and farm equipment is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and learn new techniques.
