Job Summary

  • The Procurement Officer shall be essential in overseeing the procurement process, guaranteeing that the company’s inventory and service requirements are satisfied in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with company standards and objectives.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization’s needs and market conditions.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Conduct cost analysis and maintain procurement contracts documentation to support budgetary constraints and oversight.
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Prepare procurement reports and presentations for management regarding purchasing activities.
  • Resolve any issues related to the procurement process, including supplier disputes and order discrepancies.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • Post-Graduate Degree shall be considered an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks seamlessly.
