Position Overview
The Program Manager will play a crucial role in the strategic planning and implementation of our programmes and initiatives. This leadership position requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual who can manage multiple programs, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive the organization’s mission forward.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Management:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of all programs in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
- Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and public forums.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage program staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure staff achieve their professional goals and the organization’s objectives.
Resource Management:
- Identify funding opportunities and assist in the preparation of grant proposals.
- Manage program budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Coordinate with finance and administrative staff to optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to support program activities.
- Organize fundraising events and campaigns to secure financial support.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic plan.
- Identify new opportunities and areas for program expansion.
- Develop innovative approaches to address governance challenges in Cross River State.
Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within an NGO or community development setting.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple programs and leading diverse teams.
- A track record of successfully raising funds for programs will be an added advantage.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
