Job Description
- The Public Health Intern will support our efforts in enhancing health outcomes related to environmental factors and biochemical processes.
- The intern will gain hands-on experience in public health research, and environmental health
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of public health programs and interventions focused on environmental health and biochemistry.
- Assist in the development of educational materials and resources for environmental health.
- Participate in data collection, monitoring, and evaluation of public health programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the success of environmental health interventions.
- Conduct fieldwork and/or monitor laboratory analysis as required for environmental health projects and/or public health related programs.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and workshops.
- Conduct literature reviews, data analysis and develop research articles to inform program development.
- Support community outreach and engagement activities related to environmental health issues and/or public health related programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Recently graduated from an M.Sc program in Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Strong interest in environmental health, and public health.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and research methods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
