We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer
Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any discrepancies.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in internal audits to assess compliance with company quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions.
- Liaise with production and other departments to ensure adherence to quality standards and address any quality concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements for food safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a quality assurance role within the food production industry (or a relevant field)
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, GMP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using inspection equipment and tools
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with HACCP principles
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 per month.
