Global Alliance for Chemical Industry (GACI), is an agrochemical manufacturing entity in Nigeria that formulates and produces high-quality technical grade herbicides and insecticides.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Controller

Location: Kano

Job Brief

  • The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished products, documenting findings, and reporting any defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • The Quality Inspector works closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they are operating within established quality parameters.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including measurements, test results, and any defects or non-conformances.
  • Prepare and submit regular quality reports to the Quality Control Manager or Supervisor.
  • Document any corrective actions taken to address quality issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and audits to identify potential quality issues.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions for identified quality issues.
  • Follow up on corrective actions to ensure they are effective and sustained.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure that all products comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards.
