Job Title: Sales Executive Trainee – PC Marine

Location:ย Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Sales Executive to join our sales team.
  • The role is designed to provide hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world sales experience.
  • The Trainee Sales Executive will support the sales process, learn key sales techniques, and gradually develop into an independent, target-driven sales professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Support in generating leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Shadow senior sales executives during client meetings and presentations to learn sales techniques.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and sales reports under supervision.
  • Follow up with clients for feedback, orders, and payment collections.
  • Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Participate in training sessions, product knowledge workshops, and team meetings.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics) to support sales activities.
  • Gradually take responsibility for achieving individual sales targets as skills develop.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.
  • Reporting: to prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.

Education Qualifications / Other Soft Skill Requirements

  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in Chemistry, Paint Technology or Chemical Engineering is a must.
  • Strong interest in building a career in sales and business development.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and self-motivated.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior staff.
  • Willingness to travel and meet clients as required.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles (training will be provided).

Salary
N180,000 – N200,000 Monthly.
