Job Title: SEO Manager

What you will be Doing:
- SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve the organic visibility and search engine rankings for Jumia’s English-speaking websites.
- Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords for content optimization.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements to enhance search engine ranking.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms. Generate regular reports to showcase progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure Jumia’s SEO efforts remain competitive.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and web development, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of the website.
- Off-Page Optimization: Develop and manage off-page SEO strategies, including link-building, to increase domain authority and backlink profile.
- Technical SEO: Audit and address technical issues affecting website performance and user experience, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup.
- Content Development: Collaborate with campaign managers to develop high-quality and SEO-friendly content that aligns with keyword strategy and user intent.
What we are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager, preferably in the e-commerce sector.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and SEO best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of the Nigerian market and e-commerce landscape is a plus.
- Professional certifications in SEO and digital marketing are desirable.
- Proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
