Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive test plans and scenarios that align with product requirements, ensuring test coverage across user flows, edge cases, and regulatory needs.
- Perform rigorous manual and automated testing across web interfaces, backend systems, and APIs using tools like Selenium, Postman, and Cypress.
- Regularly run regression and smoke tests, especially during CI/CD deployments, to detect and prevent critical failures.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to align testing efforts with system architecture and upcoming releases.
- Log bugs with clear documentation using JIRA or similar tools, ensuring prioritization and fast resolution of defects.
- Test for vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to industry regulations such as PCI DSS and GDPR—particularly for authentication and transaction modules.
- Maintain automation scripts, advocate QA best practices, and stay updated on testing trends to support product quality at scale.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in software QA (preferably within fintech, banking, or SaaS).
- Proficient in testing frameworks/tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Familiar with RESTful APIs, Postman, Swagger, or equivalent API testing tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and sprint planning.
- Knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
