Summary
- The U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for theย State Program Assistant in the Economic Section.
Duties
- Under the supervision of the Deputy Economic Counselor, position will manage Postโs non-PD grants portfolio, including the Ambassadorโs Special Self-Help program, the Democracy and Human Rights (DHRF) program, Julia Taft Fund for Refugees, PEPFAR Small Grants, Regional Environment Office Small Grants, and other non-Public Diplomacy grant opportunities at the U. S. Mission in Nigeria, ensuring all federal assistance funds are awarded and liquidated according to their respective rules and regulations.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold aย High Risk Public Trust security clearance.
- All selected candidates will be subject to a backgroundย investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
- Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements
- 2-year university studies in Liberal Arts, Business, Finance or Accounting is required.
Experience:
- Three (3) years of progressive experience working with NGOs, community groups, or private development is required.
- Experience in project management, grant management, grant writing, contracting, vouchering, and budgeting are required.
Salary
- $53,043 / Per Year.
