We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper (Male)

Location:ย Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the inventory of supplies and equipment in the dental clinic.
  • This includes overseeing the receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of all dental materials and products.
  • The role ensures that the clinic runs efficiently by maintaining an adequate supply of all essential items and keeping track of stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record dental supplies, equipment, and materials delivered to the clinic.
  • Organize and store dental products in the appropriate storage areas to ensure optimal accessibility and protection from damage.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all items (e.g., dental tools, consumables, medications).
  • Regularly monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with stock records.

Stock Distribution:

  • Ensure that dental staff have timely access to required materials and equipment for patient care.
  • Coordinate the distribution of supplies based on clinic usage and departmental needs.
  • Assist in preparing orders for dental treatments or procedures, ensuring no delay in operations.

Ordering and Procurement:

  • Assist the Inventory Manager or Head of Operations in preparing purchase orders for new supplies and materials based on the clinicโ€™s needs.
  • Keep track of procurement schedules and ensure that orders are placed on time.
  • Monitor suppliersโ€™ performance, ensuring deliveries are made according to schedule and at the agreed-upon prices.

Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, usage patterns, and any discrepancies in stock.
  • Record all damaged or expired items and ensure proper disposal or return, as necessary.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all products, particularly pharmaceuticals, are stored in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials and chemicals.
  • Report any irregularities in inventory, such as theft, loss, or damage, to management promptly.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, and other staff, to identify their material and equipment needs.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating stock rotation to minimize waste or product expiration.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a High school diploma or equivalent with 2 – 6 years work experience.
  • A certificate or diploma in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
