Job Title: Truck Mate
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description
- A Truck Mate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across Rivers state and beyond.
- Your primary responsibility will be to assist the truck driver in various tasks related to loading, unloading, and securing cargo, as well as maintaining the vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Loading and Unloading: Help load and unload cargo onto and off the truck, ensuring it is properly secured and positioned for transportation.
- Cargo Handling: Handle cargo carefully to prevent damage during transit. Follow safety protocols and guidelines for lifting and moving heavy items.
- Securing Cargo: Assist in securing cargo using straps, chains, or other securing mechanisms to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and ensuring all lights and signals are operational.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of the cargo being transported, including quantities and descriptions, to ensure proper delivery and accountability.
- Assist Driver: Support the truck driver in navigating routes, communicating with dispatch, and complying with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with clients or recipients of the cargo.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safe oil and gas work practices.
Qualifications
- NECO / WAEC / Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years relevant work experience.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Salary
N50,000 Monthly.
