Job Summary
- We are looking for a passionate and creative Assistant Fashion Designer to join our team and contribute to our growing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Support: Assist the Head Designer in creating and developing new collections, including sketching, fabric selection, and color palettes.
- Trend Research: Conduct market research to identify current trends, colors, and fabrics that align with the brand’s vision.
- Sample Development: Work closely with the production team to develop samples, ensuring that designs are executed to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for garments, including measurements, stitching details, and material requirements.
- Fabric Sourcing: Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Fitting Sessions: Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback from the design and production teams.
- Collection Presentation: Help prepare presentations and mood boards for internal reviews and client meetings.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, including marketing, production, and sales, to ensure cohesive and marketable designs.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as managing design files, organizing materials, and coordinating schedules.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fashion design or a related role. Internship experience will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD. Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction is a plus.
- Creativity: Strong creative vision with the ability to translate concepts into original and marketable designs.
- Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Passion: A genuine passion for fashion and a desire to stay updated with the latest trends and industry developments.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design work is required.
Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
