Job Title: Business Development Manager

Role Overview
- The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving growth and securing profitable projects for the company.
- This individual will identify business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and develop strategic plans to expand the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Market Analysis:
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
- Analyze potential markets, evaluate project feasibility, and recommend suitable entry strategies.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients in target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close deals to secure contracts and partnerships.
Proposal Development and Bidding:
- Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure bids are competitive and compliant.
- Monitor the progress of bids and manage follow-ups.
Networking and Representation:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Establish and maintain a strong professional network with government agencies, developers, consultants, and contractors.
Revenue Growth and Reporting:
- Achieve revenue targets by successfully acquiring new projects and clients.
- Monitor and report on business development activities, project pipelines, and market trends.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on growth opportunities.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure project alignment with client expectations.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- M.Sc or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MBA) are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the engineering, oil & gas, and construction industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the engineering, oil & gas, and construction market, including regulations and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
